Our research team is hiring at least one and possibly two computer science graduate students from Penn State and/or North Carolina State University for the Spring 2022 semester. The position involves contributing to Missions with Monty, our NSF EHR Core Grant entitled, A Learning Environment to Support Comprehension Monitoring with Informational Science Text. The project involves the creation and modification of a game-based learning environment for 5th graders. The environment is currently being deployed in NC schools and will continue into the foreseeable future. 

We are in need of programmers with skills to move the existing environment from its current form in GameMaker to a Unity-based platform and to expand the current capabilities of the program through May 2022. This will require coordination with the current project programmer and experience developing Unity-based programs requiring knowledge of C#. The position will require the programmer to dedicate approximately 15 hours/week and will be paid on an hourly basis from the project budget.
