Context

Missions with Monty is a three-year project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project aims to achieve two major goals:

  1. To design, develop, and iteratively refine a game-based learning program for 5th grade students that improves comprehension monitoring and supports science learning.

  2. To increase our current theoretical and practical understanding of how elementary students engage with and monitor their comprehension of informational science texts.
